I can't help but agree. I have downloaded a Pixar short and a music video and while the quality on my 15" 1920x1200 Dell notebook screen is okay, it is far from the quality of the 720p Trailer I downloaded from Apple for the new Harry Potter movie. I have to believe that a compromise has been made here, but I don't know if it is due to the MPAA and the TV industry or due to the processor constraints of the new iPod. They are doing hardware decoding on the device and from what I understand when you play video you will get 2 hours out of the 60 gig iPod and less from the 30 gig iPod. Also from what I understand any content you put on the iPod has to be in the 320x240 resolution or it will not be played and I assume not loaded. I'm guess we have hit a technology boundary and I don't think the TV industry is going to complain too much. We may be looking at a happy coicidence or Steve Jobs putting limitions in place so he can secure content. But yes, it would be nice to download an episode of lost in at least TV resolution, but then how big would that file be?
